Daisy Jones

Daisy Jones, Senior, is the Editor-in-Chief of The Riptide. After serving as a Reporter and Layout Editor last year, she is excited to step into this new position. She has lived on the Island her whole life and attended elementary, middle and high school on Vashon as well. Daisy has always loved writing in English class, and she furthered her writing skills at a journalism program in D.C. two summers ago. At The Riptide, Daisy helps lead the layout and business editors, edits articles, and helps train new reporters on journalistic skills. She enjoys writing the Editor’s Column for the paper where she covers a large variety of topics ranging from community news to stories about her own life. 

Outside of school, Daisy dances at a local studio, plays lacrosse, and works for a water management company. In her free time, Daisy enjoys hanging out with her friends, DJing, and being out in nature. After high school, she plans on furthering her education at college where she will study Political Science.
