Living on Vashon Island is nice and sweet way of living our lives, but taking the ferry to go off the island can be a struggle at times. Taking the ferry means having to get ready really early if you have to go to the ferry in the mornings. When you have to go to the ferry in the afternoon, it means packing a lunch or getting food off island.
But other than the expensive stuff on the Island and the ferry schedule, it’s still a wonderful Island to live on and be peaceful.
The Vashon Island Ferries can and are often late at times. But that can’t be helped sometimes, they would get so much people in cars and just walk ons that they don’t expect makes them a little late.
There are tons of commuters at our school, and waking up early in the morning to get ready and go to the Ferry just go to school for a few hours for a whole entire year.
The Commuter experience can be tough at times, like when the ferry is late, you’ll be late to school in the morning.
Some Ferry workers enjoy seeing kids on the ferries when they’re working on the ferry, enjoying their time on the boat. er
Mrs. Leahay’s husband and as well as a WSF Captain, he quotes, “I love seeing all the kids riding the ferries to go to school either on Vashon or to the mainland. Portable education dollars for students to make specific choices about where they decide to go to school is a unique and important freedom”,
Mrs. Leahay’s husband who enjoys taking the kids on the boat to get to the other side of the waters for them to go to school during the day and have them go back to the ferries to go back home on the Seattle or Tacoma side of the waters.
Some people might actually enjoy living on Seattle or Tacoma while going to school on Vashon Island, being able to meet with friends or make new friends while on the Vashon Ferry boat going to school or going back to either Seattle or Tacoma. Everyone is just how they are with different things all the time.
