Nya Hart

Nya Hart (She/Her), Senior, is a part-time staff reporter for the Riptide, starting only this year. She has lived on Vashon her whole life, meaning she attended Chautauqua, McMurray, and VHS. She is used to reading riptide articles written by other students, and wanted to write her own in her senior year. She has always loved writing, specifically about her passions or interests. She strongly believes in community voice, and loves that the Riptide provides students with that opportunity.

Nya is interested in art, sports, and cooking along with her love for writing. The Riptide was not only a chance for her to write about all of these interests, but to also share her writing to the school. She is excited for her peers to be able to read her writing as the issues come out.
